A community event to raise money for Charlie Capalbo

A community event to raise money for Charlie Capalbo, a young man fighting strong against cancer.

Olivia Lagano, a local resident and a student of Rockwell Dance Center, has chosen to put together a benefit dance performance to raise money and awareness for Charlie Capalbo.  Charlie is the cousin of Harrison Jarit, one of Olivia's best friends and dance mates, which is how Olivia learned about Charlie and his illness. Olivia was inspired by Charlie's brave and courageous attitude and knew she had to do something for him and his family. Putting on a dance concert to raise money to help Charlie felt like the right thing to do.

Charlie is a strong young man fighting through a rare form of cancer. He was diagnosed in March 2017, during his senior year of high school, with non hodgkin’s acute lymphoblastic lymphoma T-cell stage 3 cancer. Charlie has been fighting strong ever since.  He has gone through extremely long and difficult courses of treatment and been in and out of the hospital for the past year. Charlie will continue to go through treatments for the next two years to fight this terrible disease and all the side effects that come along with it.

Please join Olivia and provide your support by attending the Charlie Capalbo Benefit Concert. Dancers from Rockwell Dance Center and their Alumni will perform.

Saturday, May 26, 2018

Performances at 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

The Black Box Theatre @ RDC

Tickets $20.00 Cash or Check payable to

"The Parker Project"

All proceeds from this benefit concert will go directly to Charlie Capalbo and his family to help them during this time of need while he continues to fight for his life.

Olivia is thankful for the opportunity to partner with Rockwell Dance Center and The Parker Project and for all the help and support from those who are performing and donating their time to help make this benefit a success!

Please contact 203-502-8315 for tickets or email   for tickets or to make a donation.

All donations and ticket sales are tax deductible through the Parker Project,

a 501(c)3 non-profit organization founded by Nikole LaChioma in 2007.

Wonderland Wizards - ImPACT Test Concussion Management Program
ImPACT Test Concussion Management Program

The Wonderland Wizards have contracted ImPACT Applications, Inc. to provide a Concussion Management Program which has an online tool to a establish a baseline for the Concussion Management Program.

The ImPACT Test is a neuro-cognitive test that is one piece of the puzzle used in assessing recovery from concussions and determining the timing of return to play. It should only be used as a tool, and should not be the only deciding factor in returning a concussed athlete to play. It provides objective data and prevents athletes who hide their symptoms from returning to play before they are fully recovered.

Here is what you need to do:

1. Carefully read the information available through the following link:  General Information Pertaining to the ImPACT test.

2. Go to http://www.impacttestonline.com/testing to begin. The Wizards' Customer ID Code:
  2U7ESA8VDP

3. Start the ImPACT test.

The ImPACT Test is used by the NFL, NHL, and other professional sports organizations. It is used by many universities and is now recommended by some states for high school students. This test is recommended by the CIAC in Connecticut to be used as a baseline in Connecticut high schools.

NO ADOLESCENT WITH A CONCUSSION SHOULD CONTINUE TO PLAY OR RETURN TO A GAME AFTER SUSTAINING A CONCUSSION.
